OSSTET 2023 Notification Out : Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing at the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2023 as per the following guidelines :-
- Applications shall be received through ONLINE mode only on visiting the Link (website) www.bseodisha.ac.in
- ONLINE link will be available (24 X 7) from 11.12.2023, till 11.59 p.m. of 22.12.2023
- The payment of Fee shall be done through online mode latest by 11.59 pm of 21.12.2023 and candidates deposited fee on 21.12.2023 shall be allowed to submit the form online by 22.12.2023, 11.59 p.m.
- The step by step instructions for online registration, Guidelines containing applicability, eligibility & qualifying criteria of the candidates, syllabus & its structure, & format for continuing certificate are available in the website www.bseodisha.ac.in,
5. Admit Cards can be downloaded from 12.01.2024 and date of examination is scheduled to be held on 19.01.2024 in the timings given below.
- Paper – I : From 9 a.m to 11.30 a.m.
- Paper – II : From 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
6. Under no circumstances the last date for submission of application forms shall be extended.
7. In case the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false / fake, the candidature / result of the candidate shall be cancelled and he/she shall be liable for prosecution as per the rule.
8. The information, once submitted by the candidate relating to personal data, address, caste, subject etc. during online registration can not be changed at any later stage.

Mode Of Payment :- Online Mode.
OSSTET 2023 : The Examination will be conducted in Two different Parts Such as
Category- I :- Education Teacher (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/Arts/Hindi Sanskrit/Urdu/Telgu).
Category- II :- Physical Education Teacher (PET)
There Shall be Four Sections in each Paper.
Section- I :- ‘Odia’ Shall be Compulsory for all Categories of Posts.
Section- II :- “English” Shall be Compulsory for all Categories of Posts.
Section- III :- Under Stream TGT (Arts), TGT Science for both PCM & CBZ)
- The Questions Shall be in English.
The question in other Stream like Classical Teacher (Hindi/Sanskrit/Urdu/Telgu) Shall be in respective Languages.
Section- IV :- The Questions in Child Development, Pedagogy, School Management & Evaluation Shall be in English & Compulsory for both the Categories.
- There shall be no Negative Marking.

Trained Graduate Arts :-
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/ Commerce or Shastri(Sanskrit) Degree with two school subjects as Honours/ Elective / Pass/Optional from a recognised university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC)
AND Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Four year integrated B.A.B.Ed.
School Subject :-
- Odia, English, Hindi & Sanskrit
- History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity
Trained Graduate Science (PCM/ CBZ) :-
Bachelor’s Degree in science / B.Tech/ B.E. Degree with two schools subject as Honours/ Elective / Pass/ Optional from a recognised university having 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST /PH / SEBC)
AND Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Four year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed.
School Subject :-
- For PCM :- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- For CBZ :- Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Biology
Hindi Teacher :-
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University with Hindi as one of the Honours/ Elective/Optional/ Pass subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/SEBC candidates.)
AND
Any one of the following training qualifications
1- B.H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE, from
a recognized University/ Institution.
2- B.Ed in Hindi.
Classical Teacher (Sanskrit) :-
Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the Honours/ Elective / Optional/ Pass subject from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC Candidates)
AND Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit), a course prescribed by NCTE, from a Recognised University/Institution.
Classical Teacher (Urdu) :-
Alim with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for PH candidates).
AND B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/ Institution.
OR
B.A. (Persian) WITH 50% marks in aggregate (45% PH Candidates)
AND B.Ed./ Urdu B.Ed. from a NCTE Recognised University/ Institution.
Classical Teacher (Telgu) :-
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts having Telgu as subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC) candidates)
AND Telgu B. Ed. from a University / Institution recognized by NCTE.
Physical Education Teacher :-
+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC) candidates).
AND
C.P.Ed./ B.P.Ed./ M.P.Ed. From a recognized Board/ University
